HD Truck Body provides commercial fleet collision repair for box trucks, semi trucks, trailers, commercial vans, and other work vehicles throughout San Diego County. Our team brings more than 20 years of industry experience and understands that every day a fleet vehicle is out of service affects productivity, scheduling, and revenue.
Our goal is to develop the correct repair plan, communicate clearly, and return each vehicle to service safely and efficiently.
Commercial vehicles have different construction, materials, dimensions, and operating demands than passenger vehicles. Our fleet collision center is equipped to evaluate and repair damage involving truck cabs, cargo bodies, trailers, doors, panels, roofs, floors, rails, liftgates, and structural components.
We handle minor exterior damage, major collision damage, and repairs that require disassembly, structural alignment, welding, aluminum welding, fabrication, panel replacement, or supporting body work.
Collision damage is not always limited to what is visible during the first inspection. Our repair planning considers accessible and hidden damage, component mounting points, structural supports, alignment, hardware, seals, electrical connections, hydraulic body equipment, and surrounding parts affected by the repair.
When additional damage is discovered after disassembly, we document the condition and communicate the necessary changes before continuing with repairs.
Fleet collision services may include:
We work with fleet managers, rental and leasing operations, delivery and moving companies, contractors, dealerships, insurers, organizations, and independent commercial vehicle owners. Every repair plan is developed around the vehicle's condition, required operations, parts availability, and the customer's scheduling needs.
Our team provides detailed estimates, damage documentation, progress communication, and practical repair recommendations to help fleet customers make informed decisions and manage downtime.
HD Truck Body offers vehicle pickup and delivery to simplify transportation and reduce logistical delays. Depending on the type of repair, scheduled on-site fleet service can also be provided at the customer's yard. On-site service calls are available by appointment and must be arranged in advance.
Before delivery, repaired areas are reviewed for correct fit, alignment, attachment, sealing, and operation. Doors, liftgates, lights, hydraulic body equipment, and other affected components are checked according to the completed repair scope.
